Austen graduated from Ashland University in 2014, earning his bachelor’s degree in finance and asset management with a minor in economics. In his time at Ashland University, Austen played for the varsity football team and helped lead his team to a conference championship in 2012. While attending college, he interned at a financial planning firm in Granville before joining Summit. He is an active member on Summit’s Wealth Management Committee providing research and support for implementation of estate, tax, and retirement planning ideas. Austen specializes in retirement cash flow management and executive compensation.
Austen earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2016 and is a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and Financial Planning Association (FPA). He attends various conferences focused on financial planning and wealth management. Austen works with an internal group of advisors providing services to investment advisory and wealth management clients.
Austen resides in Westerville, Ohio, where he enjoys watching sports, playing guitar, and weight training in his spare time. Austen also enjoys traveling and finding new places to mountain bike.
