Mark joined Summit Financial Strategies in 2010 and brings over twenty years of experience in building his own Fee-Only financial planning clientele. Mark is experienced in helping individuals identify and establish various goals including; pre and post retirement planning, education funding, estate planning and business succession. He has an ability to assist clients in the coordination of asset allocation among multiple retirement plan accounts, investments and businesses.

His background as an attorney has enabled him to provide strategic consultation when working with clients’ legal and tax advisors. Mark earned his Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Capital University Law School and his undergraduate degree from Bethany College in West Virginia. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) as well as the Columbus Bar Association.

Mark has been quoted for his views on a variety of financial planning topics in many publications including, The Wall Street Journal, Consumer Reports Money Adviser, Yahoo Finance, Columbus Business First, The Columbus Dispatch and Columbus CEO magazine. He is a frequent speaker on financial planning topics appearing before the Columbus Bar Association, Columbus Estate Planning Council and the Financial Planning Association.

Mark is a frequent volunteer in the community formerly serving as Chair of The Columbus Estate Planning Council, Chair of the Investment Committee of the Jewish Columbus Foundation, Trustee of Jewish Columbus, Treasurer and Trustee of the Beck Place Condo Association, Trustee of The German Village Society and Past-President of The Temple Israel Foundation. He lives in German Village with his family and enjoys playing pickleball, golf and spending time at their lake house on Lake Erie.
